Datasets for the SDI search component were downloaded from Global Burden of Disease Collaborative Network. Global Burden of Disease Study 2019 (GBD 2019) Socio-Demographic Index (SDI) 1950–2019. Seattle, United States of America: Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME), 2020 (DOI), and was converted to JSON formats.

You can use the selection box at the bottom right to view risk factors in countries with other level of SDI.
Top 10 risk factors are listed for each year of 1990, 2010 and 2019, regardless of risk's ranking in other years. Each risk factor belongs to certain category and is highlighted with different colours.

SDI (Socio-demographic Index) - an summary metric on a scale of zero to one (best) measures the composite average of the rankings of the incomes per capita, average educational attainment, and fertility rates of all areas in the GBD study. (source)
DALY (disability-adjusted life year) - a metric summaries overall disease burden into number of years of life lost due to ill-health, disability or early death.
